A two box cold and hot impact test chamber (also known as a high and low temperature impact test chamber) is a device used to test the tolerance of products. By constantly changing the temperature, it detects whether the product is damaged. The thermal and cooling effects generated will simulate various extreme weather changes. During the development phase, it can be used to detect product design and process defects, as well as for environmental stress screening, to eliminate early product failures. The severity of the test depends on factors such as high and low temperature range, residence time, temperature conversion time, and number of cycles. So what should be noted when using a high and low temperature impact test chamber?

1. Unless necessary, please do not open the box door to maintain the temperature and humidity inside the test chamber.

When running a low-temperature test, it is advisable to avoid opening the test chamber door as much as possible, as opening the chamber door can cause frost to occur in the evaporator and other parts of the refrigeration system, especially when the test temperature is lower and the situation becomes more severe. If it is necessary to open the chamber door, the opening time should be shortened as much as possible.

3. After completing the low-temperature test operation using the equipment, the test temperature must be set to 30 ℃ for drying treatment for about 30 hours (returning to normal temperature, the temperature controller can set this automatic function). Stop the test chamber door and perform operations such as removing the test sample to avoid affecting the performance of the next operating condition.

4. Try to avoid frequent starting and stopping of the equipment (try not to start again within 5 minutes after the equipment stops), in order to not increase the mechanical load on the refrigeration system compressor and affect the service life of the unit.

5. Before running the equipment, the door of the test chamber should be closed, otherwise it may cause gas leakage in the studio and the test does not meet the performance requirements.

6. The placement of the test object shall not affect the airflow balance and smoothness of the studio. Otherwise, it will affect the performance of the equipment and the authenticity of the experiment. The total area of the specimen at any section perpendicular to the wind direction of the inner ring shall not exceed one-third of the direction of the working chamber.

7. When the high and low temperature impact test chamber operates in high temperature and wet conditions, if not necessary, it is prohibited to open the chamber door, otherwise it may cause the following adverse consequences:

Rapid exposure to high temperature and humidity can easily cause burns. The inside of the box door, the test area, and the surface of the test material still maintain a high temperature, which can easily burn hands! High temperature air may trigger fire alarms, leading to misoperation.

The opening operation of the test box door: When the operator opens it, they must move backwards along the opening direction and the test box door to prevent a large amount of hot air from surging out of the box and injuring people after the high temperature test.

8. It is strictly prohibited to test flammable, explosive, volatile, and corrosive substances in the equipment, otherwise it may cause machine damage or test result failure.

9. When the equipment is running, do not touch and inspect the machine system components with your hands to avoid electric shock or motor sprains; Therefore, please stop the machine operation and turn off the power before repairing.

10. Circuit breakers, over temperature protectors, etc. should be checked regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.
